About us - The story behind
ScribblePadGames began as a fun way to spend more time with my 7-year-old son.
One day, he asked me about the games I played when I was his age. Growing up in the ‘80s and ‘90s, in the country where I’m from, we often played games in our school notepads—during breaks, between classes, and whenever we had a free moment. Games like Battleships were among the many we enjoyed.
We decided to try some of these games together. It was fun, but I noticed my son would get impatient while waiting for me to redraw the board. To make things faster, I sketched some pre-made grids, and we kept playing. Soon, we were taking these notepad games everywhere—on hikes, family trips, and even dinner outings. They became a great way to pass the time without screens.
Later, when I designed a more structured version, my son brought it to his summer camp. It became an instant hit, with kids organizing tournaments and playing nonstop. After summer, we printed a set for his teacher, and now the class plays almost daily during spare moments.

At some point, my son had a lightbulb moment—he realized that if we turned our idea into something we could sell, he might finally be able to afford the LEGO Titanic set he’d been dreaming about. That spark of motivation made the project even more exciting for him. Suddenly, it wasn’t just about playing games—it was about creating something meaningful together, with a real goal in sight.

What started as a way to share childhood memories turned into something more — a simple, fun way to bring classic notepad games to a new generation, and a great teaching moment for my son to learn about money, value, and entrepreneurship.
